About the Scholarship
The Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission (OPVC) established this scholarship fund to support students pursuing higher education in agriculture-related fields and to help foster future leaders in agriculture, food science, and related disciplines.
Up to $10,000 total
Scholarship amounts may vary. The combined total of all scholarships will not exceed $10,000.

Submit the completed application and supporting materials before the deadline.
To the college
Award payments are directed to the recipient’s college financial aid office no later than June 20, 2027 for Fall enrollment.
Who is eligible?

High school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students.

Oregon residents who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited Oregon college or university.

Students focusing on agriculture, food science, horticulture, or a related field.

Applicants must be legal U.S. residents, and family members of the OPVC scholarship committee members are ineligible for an award.
What you need to submit

Completed OPVC scholarship application.

Essay of no more than 500 words explaining what you would bring to the Oregon vegetable industry and how your desired degree directly relates.

Current high school/GED or college transcript, as applicable.

Two letters of recommendation.
