OPVC Competitive Grant Program


The Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission (OPVC) supports research on the following vegetables crops: snap beans, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and sweet corn. Research is funded based on a per-ton assessments collected on vegetables produced in the state. Every year, the OPVC awards money for research projects aimed at addressing issues relevant to the processed vegetable industry.

Eleven commission members made up of producers, handlers, processors, and a member of the public will evaluate and select research proposals to fund based on their importance to the industry and the merit of proposed research.

Progress and final FY 2018-2019 research report presentations are scheduled to begin

Deadline for written FY 2019-2020 Proposals
Noon, January 22, 2019

Proposal presentations will be February 5, 2019 at the
