OPVC Competitive Grant Program
The Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission (OPVC) supports research on the following vegetables crops: snap beans, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and sweet corn. Research is funded based on a per-ton assessments collected on vegetables produced in the state. Every year, the OPVC awards money for research projects aimed at addressing issues relevant to the processed vegetable industry.
Nine commission members made up of producers, handlers, processors, and a member of the public will evaluate and select research proposals to fund based on their importance to the industry and the merit of proposed research.
