Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission Public Hearing Notice

On March 31, 2023, the OPVC voted to recommend the following assessment rates:

Beans $1.100 Carrots $0.500

Beets $0.000 Cauliflower $0.900

Broccoli $3.458 Sweet Corn $0.630

The proposed assessment rate will enable the commission to fund $58,924 in research, $18,058 in market development, and $16,326 in green bean promotion.

A public hearing will be held to receive comments on the Oregon Processed Vegetable Commission’s proposed assessment rates (1:10 pm) for the 2023 crop year and the proposed 2023-2024 fiscal year budget (1:30 pm). Contact opvcresearch@gmail.com by 3:00 pm 4/13/2023 for the Zoom link to the OPVC meeting where the public hearings will be held.

Members of the public are welcome to present their comments, either orally at the hearing or in writing. Please submit written comments by 5:00 pm 4/13/2023 to opvcresearch@gmail.com.
